The Adventure Is Still Moving Forward

It's been a little while since our last blog update.
Back then, we we shared how we pack for motorcycle travel and what we fit into a handful of panniers for two-up camping. Since then, things have been a little quieter on the website and the YouTube channel—but not because the adventure has stopped. In reality, quite the opposite has been happening.
Like many riders chasing big travel dreams, we've been balancing the reality of full-time work, everyday responsibilities, and the planning required to bring something much bigger to life. While the cameras haven't been rolling as often as we'd like, plenty has been happening behind the scenes as we keep the adventure moving forward.
The Challenge of Building a Dream Around Full-Time Work
One of the questions we're often asked is how we manage to fit all of this around our jobs.
The honest answer is that it's not always easy.
Every ride, video, blog post, route plan, gear upgrade and future travel decision happens outside of normal working hours. Weekends become filming days, evenings become editing sessions, and spare moments are spent researching routes, budgets, shipping options and travel logistics.
The closer we get to our long-term travel plans, the more there seems to be to organise. At times it feels like we're living two parallel lives—one focused on our jobs and everyday commitments, and another focused on preparing for the biggest motorcycle adventure we've ever attempted.
The Next Big Ride
While content has been a little quieter recently, we're currently planning our next major motorcycle adventure.

The plan is shaping up to be a two-week outback ride covering approximately 4,000 kilometres through some of Australia's most remote and spectacular landscapes.
There are still details being finalised, but this trip will be very different from our recent South West adventures. Longer days, bigger distances, harsher conditions and a chance to put both rider and machine through a genuine adventure touring test.
We're looking forward to sharing more details as the route comes together.
New Zealand Is Calling Again
Another project currently taking shape is a return to New Zealand before the end of the year.
Our two-up motorcycle adventures through New Zealand always leave us wanting more, and we've been working on plans for another journey across some of the South Island's incredible roads and scenery.

There is still plenty of planning to do, but it's a destination that continues to sit high on our list of favourite places to ride.
Less Than 12 Months To Go
Perhaps the biggest milestone of all is that we're now less than twelve months away from setting out on our full-time motorcycle travel adventure. Anyone who has talked to us in the past 4 years will have heard us talk about this, what once felt like a distant dream is starting to feel very real.
The broad plan remains the same: ship the bike to the United Kingdom, explore the UK, head north toward Nordkapp, then begin weaving our way back through to the Balkans & southern Europe. Of course, every month brings new ideas, new routes and new possibilities. The map is still evolving, and that's part of the fun.
What has changed is the amount of planning now happening behind the scenes.
We're researching shipping options, refining budgets, reviewing insurance requirements, investigating communication and data solutions, and starting to make decisions on the gear we'll rely on while living from the motorcycle for an extended period.
Some exciting equipment upgrades are also beginning to find their way onto the planning board. Not everything is locked in yet, but we're focused on creating a setup that allows us to travel, film and work efficiently while living on the road.
Looking Ahead
The next twelve months are going to be busy. There will be gear changes, route planning, budgeting, logistics, and undoubtedly a few unexpected challenges along the way. There will also be more stories to share.
While progress may not always be visible on the channel every week, the wheels are definitely turning behind the scenes. Every ride, every decision and every lesson learned is helping move us one step closer to the day we finally point the bike toward the horizon and begin the next chapter.
Thanks for following along as we work to turn this dream into reality.
The countdown has officially begun.
