As the Christmas season is here, we thought it was time to look back on the year that was 2024 for ReganRides & say so long Looking back, we didn't manage everything that was on the plans at the start of the year. Having to postpone the Roaming Horizons Himalayan ride & missing out on a second NZ TwoUp tour just means that the 2025 calendar is starting to fill up. We have made progress on the grand plan to tour interntionally TwoUp. Having the BMW R1250GSA in the garage has been a big part of that. We have been enjoying riding all the trails throughout the South West we had previously done on the KTM. We have also been venturing a bit further afield with a ride through the John Holland Way & into the wheatbelt, a long weekend in Denmark & a weekend ride from Perth out to Mt Dale & Boddington.
We have upgraded camera equipment, navigation & protection on Atlas, which sees us ready to ride into the New Year. Another NZ trip is on the cards as we can't leave the KTM feeling too left out, with the Banks Peninsula & Canterbury region still to explore. With the Himalayan ride booked for June we will also be looking to spend time exploring more of WA on 2 wheels but there is the chance of another overseas adventure before the end of 2025.
Meanwhile the spreadsheets & maps are out as we work on budgets, travel locations & logistics of shipping a bike somewhere else in the world to adventure abroad. 2027 is the deadline, that seemed a very long time ago when we started making plans, pretty sure I blinked & a year has gone by already.
While 2024 didn't quite go the way we planned, there has still been plenty of bike time, new roads travelled & adventures to keep us inspired to do more in the coming year.
Thank you to everyone who watches the travels on the channel, has interacted with us through messages & comments or accessed the GPX files we have shared of our trails so far. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Adventure filled New Year.
The year in pictures!
